Iran hails OPEC rejecting US calls for oil output hike

(MENAFN) Iran's petroleum minister Bijan Zangeneh voiced support to a resolution made by OPEC to reject the US appeal to increase oil production.

The Iranian minister stressed on Monday that the US target for Iran to hit zero in its oil exports will not be met.

The minister stated "the US seeks to reduce Iranian oil exports to zero even for a month, but that dream would not come to reality."

The statement has come in response to a decision made by OPEC members and Russia to dismiss extra hikes on crude production.
