Gaza Strip population accounts for 39.7 percent of Palestine


(MENAFN) The population of the Gaza Strip was found to amount for 39.7 percent of the overall rate of Palestine's population, with the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza included.

The results have been shown in a recent census released by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on Wednesday.

The population of the Gaza Strip was shown to have stood at 1,899,291, with 50.7 percent alone amounted for men.

PCBS added that counting the population of the Gaza Strip was an opportunity to open 11,000 temporary job vacancies for young graduates, with 85 percent being occupied by women.
