Abu Dhabi, China sign cooperation deal


(MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi Investment Office was declared to have inked a memorandum of understanding with the Office of the Chinese Business Council.

The MoU has been signed during a meeting, with the presence of Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development H.E. Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri.

The two sides, under the deal, are to boost their inter-institutional cooperation and exchanges along with opening more trade and investment opportunities for businesses, looking to improve their bilateral economic and trade ties.

"The signing of this MoU indications the strength of business and trade relations between the UAE and China," stated Undersecretary of the Department of Economic Development, Mr Khalifa Bin Salem Al Mansouri.

Al Mansouri added "through ambitious joint projects run by public-private sector partnerships and attracting foreign investment, Abu Dhabi is charting a course towards greater economic diversification, liberalization, sustainability, an enhanced non-oil export capacity."
