(MENAFN) A local policeman declared that five Daesh militants have died in an attack in Iraq's northern Kirkuk province.
Capt. Hamed al-Obaidi confirmed that the Iraqi security forces have attacked the militants amid getting ready to ambush a village in the al-Rashad district, southwest of Kirkuk.
He added that many other Daesh fighters had escaped the scene unharmed.
The Daesh terrorist group has been active in Kirkuk in recent months, as it launched attacks against civilians and military members.
