(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MIRANSHAH: The lack of education doubles the miseries of tribal people of Moski in North Waziristan as though they had enough sufferings.
The locals of turbulent region Moski village have reported that they do not only lack basic necessities but also basic education and young girls and boys are deprived of this right.
Not a single Middle or High school is available in this area, however, those primary schools that are available are no less than ghost schools as they are non-functional.
A ceremony was held by organization North Waziristan Welfare Association (NWWA) at a private school for awareness of importance of seeking Education where a large number of students, area representatives and local people showed up.
Local elders of NWWA Zakir Wazir, Jehanzeb Khan, Javed Iqbal Wazir, Jamshed Khan and principle of Governor Model School Alamzeb Khan shed light on the importance and benefits of Education.
"It is crucial for parents to understand that they are doing injustice with children by not providing them education as a nation cannot prosper without seeking education", said Alamzeb Khan.
Zakir Wazir maintained that it was a basic right of every child to seek education and those living in North Waziristan are deprived of this human right.
According to unofficial estimates, the literacy rate of FATA stands below 30 per cent.
Heavy losses have been suffered by locals who were displaced during the operation Zarb-e-Azab and had their lives disrupted for a long period of time as schools, hospitals and other buildings were destroyed.
