Arabian Camel Festival gets positive response

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) president HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani honoured the winners of the four main races of HH The Emir Cup at the Arabian Camel Festival at Al Shahaniya Racetrack on Thursday. On the event's sixth day, Shahaniya camels recorded two victories in the races, while Ashwaq owned by Mohamed bin Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani clinched the third race. Al Shaqab's Gabal won the fourth race. The prestigious Arabian Camel Festival competitions received overwhelming response from camel race lovers, owners, breeders and fans. In a statement on Thursday, Sheikh Joaan said that Annual Arabian Camel Festival is close to people's hearts and participation in such a great event is a matter of pride for all.
