SAITM students to be transferred to Kothalawala Defense Academy
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) width="191" height="134" data-recalc-dims="1" />A decision has been taken to transfer the medical students of the Malabe SAITM medical campus to the Kothalawala Defense Academy.
The decision was taken following a meeting with President Maithripala Sirisena today, the President's media division said.
Protests were staged even today in Colombo against SAITM medical campus.
Students affiliated to Government university student unions have been protesting for several weeks demanding that SAITM be completely abolished. (Colombo Gazette)
