Jordan- Senate committee meets Canadian ambassador


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 15 (Petra)--The Senate's Jordanian-Canadian Friendship Committee led by Senator Sakhr Dodin on Thursday met with the Canadian Ambassador to Jordan Peter MacDougall.

Dodin praised the strong ties between Jordan and Canada at all levels, as well as Canada's support to Jordan in various fields, especially that Jordan is shouldering the burden of hosting a large number of refugees.

He also called for expanding cooperation between the two countries to include promising sectors including IT, vocational training, tourism and investments.

The ambassador said Jordan sets a model for security and stability in the Middle East and praised the Kingdom's efforts in hosting refugees.
