Pakistan- There militants killed in US drone strike near Kurram border

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) SADDA, 26 December: A US pilot-less drone targeted militants' hideouts on the Pak-Afghan border near Kurram Agency, officials said here on Tuesday.

According to sources, at least three people were killed in the strike, which took place somewhere between Pakistan's Mata Sangar territory and Afghanistan's Maqbal area. However, officials of the Kurram political administration said that the missile attack was carried out inside Afghanistan.

Sources said that the US drone targeted a motorcar carrying a high-profile militant commander.

Drone strikes in the adjacent areas of Kurram agency have increased during the past one year. The US drones have carried out ten attacks in the area in 2017, in which up to 50 militants have been killed.
