Britain:
Its normal for the families to be preparing all those mouthwatering delicacies especially desserts on Christmas. The residents of Britain do the same. But when it comes to the Christmas pudding, they have their own, unique way of preparing it. According to an age-old Christmas tradition, every member of the family is supposed to stir the mix clockwise while making a wish. They often add a coin or ring into the mixture. Thereafter, whoever ends up having the coin or the ring on his/her plate is said to be showered with good luck for the new year.
Wales:
The Welsh Christmas ritual is quite an astounding one. People here are seen parading through the streets bearing the skull of a mare on the end of a stick on the Christmas eve. It is believed that doing so symbolizes the passing of the darkest days of midwinter.
Colombia:
In Colombia, the occasion of Christmas is merrily called as Little Candles Day. The festival is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the Immaculate Conception. According to the custom followed here, people are supposed to place candles and paper lanterns in their windows, balconies and front yards. The houses draped in beautiful lights make up for a stunning view on the Christmas eve.
