Oman- Unwind with Serenity women's retreat in Sri Lanka

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- A women's wellness retreat is scheduled to be held from January 13 to 17 in Sri Lanka next year and is being organised by the Whispers of Serenity Clinic, Muscat.

The Sri Lanka episode is the fourth installment in a series of retreats for women, which were organised by the clinic. Previous events were held at the Dimaniyat Islands (Me, Myself and I), The Chedi Muscat (More than a woman) and Salalah (Clarity).

The agenda holds some exciting surprises such as a safari trip, tea farm visit, yoga sessions, movie night, volunteer work, therapeutic session, guided city tours and a lot more.

Titled 'The Phoenix', the upcoming retreat will offer participants an insight into nature, where they can cool off and de-stress in the serene backdrop of Ceylon, and carry with them fabulous memories to cherish for a lifetime.

In Greek mythology, the phoenix is a long-livedbird, associated with the Sunthat is regularly regenerated. So, the idea of this retreat is to help the participants revive themselves by going away from the routine dipping straight into a natural wonder.

'Such activities are very important for women because there is so much stress in our everyday lives to do with a range of issues. This could be related to family, work or something happening in our social circle, and eventually, if you don't unwind or relax or pursue an activity that helps you loosen up, the stress keeps building and it's not healthy in the long term,' said H H Sayyida Basma al Said, Mental Health expert and founder of the Whispers of Serenity Clinic, and curator of the women's retreats.

'At the beginning of next year, we will truly explore a hidden pearl of the Indian Ocean, where tranquillity meets nature, and where a colourful culture thrives. Crack open a coconut, slip into a hammock with lemonade, gently rock in the bed of paradise and watch the sun go down - these and many other activities await the participants,' she added.

'I was at the Dimaniyat Islands retreat, and it was one of the best experiences I have had. We spent our time in the heart of nature and to be relaxing in that kind of an environment with great company and fun activities was much needed for me. It really helped me get out of the everyday routine and the daily struggles of life to reflect and think about myself,' said a previous participant.

Out of the five days, the first day will be spent in Colombo and the rest of the retreat will be held at Mirissa, a stunning crescent beach in Sri Lanka with modest guest houses and a string of beautiful restaurants around.
