(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Union of Kuwaiti Banks Dr. Hamad Al-Hasawi said Tuesday that all local banks would stopped operating next Thursday in observance of a religious holiday marking the birth of the Prophet Mohammad.
Banks will resume work next Sunday as approved by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), he added.
The Banks Union congratulated the political leadership and the Kuwaiti people on the advent of this occasion. (end) mfs.ht.ss
