Ambassador: UK, Azerbaijan to effectively cooperate in energy sector (UPDATE)

UK and Azerbaijan are expected to effectively cooperate in the energy sector for a long time, UK ambassador to Azerbaijan Carole Mary Crofts said.
The ambassador made the remarks at the ceremony of opening of a production site of UK's Millers Oils Ltd. in Baku Nov. 23.
The cooperation of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences with Millers Oils Ltd. is a big step for Azerbaijan's production potential and has already led to the use of the latest technologies in Azerbaijan, Crofts said.
The diplomat added that Azerbaijan's export potential and the number of the country's energy specialists will undoubtedly increase as a result of this cooperation.
The ambassador also congratulated Azerbaijan with the extension of the "Contract of the Century", which will allow the country as well as the country's people to fully use energy resources.
