Morocco- Marrakech: Monkey Attacks Tourist in Jamaa El Fna Square
(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – A South Korean tourist was attacked by a monkey in Jamaa El Fna square on Monday, June 1 9in the tourism spot's second recent major incident .
Al Massae reported on Thursday that the tourist suffered injuries to her hand and had to be taken to a private clinic to receive treatment, including injections to prevent potential diseases.
An investigation has since been opened to determine the circumstances of the incident.A 46-year old snake charmer based in Jmaa el Fna died recently after a snake bit him and transmitted poisonous venom. A rumor has since circulated that the local authorities plan to ban snake charmers in the square.
