Qatar- QFA to organize Gulf youngsters tournament

Doha: Qatar Football Association (QFA) will host the eighth Gulf festival for U-14 youngsters between January 28 and 30 with the participation of six national teams from Qatar Bahrain UAE Kuwait Saudi Arabia and Oman.
The event aims to prepare Gulf national teams for their first Asian involvement in the Asian Cup qualifiers. The six teams will play a one-round league with each team facing the other five in one-hour games.
Each team must field two different teams for each half according to the tournament's regulations so that all the players get the chance to participate and benefit from the event.
No ranking will be made for participant teams in order to achieve the goal of tournament which is participation not competition. The event is taking place in cooperation between the GCC's organizing committee and QFA.
