(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) In response to Lebanon's civil society's protest over its political process, the US said it is "deeply troubled" by images and reports of injuries over the weekend.
"The United States continues to strongly support the Prime Minister's (Tammam Salam) efforts to advance political consensus so that the cabinet can work on many urgent issues," said State Department Spokesperson John Kirby on Monday to reporters.
Kirby expressed support for a thorough investigation of the injuries.
