Madinah house fire kills 2
(MENAFN- Arab News) MADINAH: In a tragic Madinah incident two children died and a woman was injured in a fire which broke out in a house.
Capt. Naif bin Mohammad Al-Juhani spokesman for Civil Defense said the control room received information about the fire incident in a house in the Al-Jarf area. Rescue and fire fighters' teams rushed to the spot and put out the fire. However the smoke that engulfed the house suffocated the two children to death. The woman who sustained injuries was treated in hospital. Further investigation is in progress.
Marriage hall fire
Meanwhile 200 women received minor injuries in a fire in a marriage hall in Asir.
Giving the details of the fire the Asir Civil Defense directorate said the fire was reported in Al-Assaree village. It said that six cases of suffocation were recorded and the situation was dealt with. Four of them were shifted to hospital. In all 200 women guests were rescued according to a website.
Col. Mohammad Abdur Raheem Al-Asmi spokesman for the Civil Defense in Asir said the Civil Defense received information about the fire in one of the halls of Al-Assaree village on Abra Road at 11:03 p.m. on Thursday.
