UAE- Event raises Dh98,000 for Nepal kids
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A charity event that took place at the Emirates Palace Theatre on Monday raised funds for the children of Nepal orphaned by recent earthquakes.
Aldar Academies, one of the UAE's largest providers of world-class private education, conducted its first We've Got Talent show to raise the money.
More than a thousand family members and friends attended the two-hour performance to help the hapless children by paying Dh30 per person. The amount collected will assist in providing emergency food, first aid, shelter and other basic amenities for the children orphaned by the earthquakes that struck Nepal in April and May.
