Kuwait- EPA Officials Found Guilty
(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Criminal Court of First Instance found the Director General of Environment Public Authority Dr Salah Al-Mudhi, his deputy Dr Ali Haidar, and three employees of the authority guilty of falsifying official documents and misappropriation of public funds.
The court thereby relieved them of their positions and ordered them to pay fine of KD 500 each, but refrained from pronouncing punishment against them.
The Public Prosecution charged the directors for wrongly paying certain amount of money to the concerned employees under their watch, while those employees later refunded the sum to public treasury.
In his first comment on the verdict, member of the board of directors for Environment Public Authority Workers Union Engineer Sayyah Al-Hajeri craved for "activation of this historic verdict".
He urged the Council of Ministers to take appropriate action to suspend them until pronouncement of the final judicial ruling.
