(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court of Cassation started hearing a case in which a young man is charged with consuming narcotics and fighting with policemen.
The case dates back to last year when the suspect, allegedly under the influence of drugs, fought and swore at anti-narcotics officers who were trying to arrest him at one of the emirate's suburbs.
The anti-narcotics policemen had been alerted by an undercover agent that the accused was in possession of drugs and prohibited medicines. The man was detained and traces of narcotics were found in his blood sample.
