Amman Stock Exchange trading report for Jan 6


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) Wednesday's trading value amounted to JD23.5 million spread over 18.3 million shares traded through 9,051 transactions. The share price index closed at 2,555 points, a drop of 0.71 per cent. Out of 160 companies whose shares were traded, prices of 48 corporations rose and those of 87 firms declined. The top five gainers were General Lightweight Concrete Industries by 5 per cent, Amoun International for Investments by 4.88 per cent, Al Manara Insurance by 4.76 per cent, Jordan Commercial Bank by 4.52 per cent, and Nopar for Trading and Investment by 4.44 per cent. The top five losers were Jordan Vegetable Oil Industries by 5 per cent, Irbid District Electricity by 4.95 per cent, Falcon for Investment & Financial Services by 4.91 per cent, Arab German Insurance by 4.88 per cent and Al Bilad for Securities and Investment by 4.86 per cent.
