UNHCR to facilitate emergency humanitarian resettlement for 422 Syrians


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GENEVA, July 22 (KUNA) -- The United Nations High Commission of Refugees (UNHCR) on Sudnay said UN received 422 Syrian citizens from southern Syria who are at risk and seeking asylum and solutions in several member states, including the United Kingdom, Canada and Germany.
"UNHCR in close collaboration with the involved governments, is supporting their temporary stay in anticipation of their onward relocation to third countries," said the UNHCR in a press release.
UNHCR appreciates the generosity of the Jordanian Government and people for temporarily hosting them. (end) ta.mt
