Oman- Ministry of Commerce and Industry asks commercial agencies to renew permits by August 3


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has said that commercial agencies registered in Oman have to expedite the renewal of their permits according to the terms agreed upon in the contracts.

The ministry has given these agencies time tillAugust 3to renew their permits. Through this decision, the ministry aims to urge commercial agencies to renew their permits in order to avoid any penalties to ensure their presence in Oman.

MoCI has said that in case of non-renewal of the permit, it will cancel the registration of commercial agencies, in implementation of Article (15) of the Commercial Agencies Law issued by Royal Decree 26/77.

MoCI has said that the number of registered commercial agencies in Oman reached 6,651 till July 15 this year. 'Agents of these agencies must renew their permits and modify data electronically through the Invest Easy portal or through the Sanadcentres.'
