Four Indian security personnel killed in Pakistan firing in Kashmir


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW DELHI, June 13 (KUNA) -- At least four Indian border security personnel were killed and three others were injured in a cross border firing by Pakistani forces along the International Border in Samba district, north India.
According to Indian defense sources, the incident that took place in the state of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday was unprovoked.
Quoting Inspector General of Border Security Force (Jammu Frontier) Ram Awtar, the Press Trust of India said that "Pakistan Rangers initiated cross-border firing along IB in Ramgarh sector last night. We have lost four of our personnel, including an assistant commandant rank officer, while other three of our personnel suffered injuries." On Tuesday, Indian security authorities had stated that two policemen were killed and six security personnel were injured in two separate militant attacks in Pulwama and Anantnag districts of the state.
