Iran lashes out at US for hostilities

(MENAFN) Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami lashed out at the US officials for their continued hostilities towards the Islamic Republic, and said that the country's Armed Forces will continue to resist against Washington's enmity.

"We will continue walking the road to resistance and the future is certainly ours, as we are a noble nation and will remain so under every condition," the Iranian Defense Minister said.

Brigadier General Hatami said the US had better fulfill its commitments under the JCPOA to help establish peace and security in the world, otherwise it will be detrimental to global peace and stability.

"We should be self-reliant in terms of security and economy, but we have signed a deal whereby we and others undertook commitments," the Iranian defense minister added.

"If we had held today's defense power when Americans shot down Iran's airliner over the Persian Gulf [."] we would have not allowed the criminal captain of the warship to be rewarded and would have certainly drowned that ship," Hatami said.
