Minor earthquake startles Turkey


(MENAFN) Turkish media declared that minor earthquake of a 4.2 magnitude has rattled the city of Hizan, the Turkish province of Bitlis.

The earthquake took place at 01:10 local time, as it hit 8,5 km deep in the ground.

No victims or damages have been informed about, according to preliminary information.

The most powerful phenomenon on the Earth's crust in Turkey has been reported 19 years ago, in the Marmara sea region.
