The 58-year-old is said to have been offered a two-year deal.

In terms of money, this deal is way less lucrative than what he was being paid at Bayern.

His task will be to get Italy back to where it belongs especially after their 2018 World Cup set-back.

Italy do not have a manager since November after Gian Piero Ventura was let go off.
