Nakilat gets ISO 45001:2018 in occupational health and safety

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Nakilat has become the first company in Qatar to be certified with the new ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and Safety Management System (OH & S) standard, issued by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.
This internationally-recognised certification was achieved after an intensive external audit and assessment, conducted almost immediately after the publication of the new standard on March 12, 2018.
This is a reflection of the company's proactive approach for ensuring its health and safety system meets the latest industry-leading standards.
During the audit, Nakilat effectively demonstrated its comprehensive OH & S management system, processes, controls, and implementation of the new standards.
The new standard replaces the existing British Standard Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (BS OHSAS 18001:2007), with the intent of improving health and safety in the workplace, to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses around the world.
