The International Trade Center (ITC) of the United Nations will organize and support the participation of 100 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the world in the first China International Import Expo (CIIE) to be held in Shanghai this November, Xinhua news agency reported citing the CIIE Office.
According to ITC Executive Director Arancha Gonzalez, China is a very big market, and many countries show increased interest in it. The UN together with China will guarantee other poor countries and their SMEs the opportunity to develop through international trade with China, she added.
China will render assistance and support to countries and facilities participating in the CIIE, providing favorable conditions for exhibitors, as well as exempting the least developed countries from the costs associated with participating in the event, she said.
