Russian FM: US, UK, France forces 'directly' operate in Syria
(MENAFN) Special forces that belong to the US, Britain and France have been hit with allegations from Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov of "directly" being involved in Syrian war.
The foreign minister has made the accusation during an interview with the Kazakh state broadcaster which the Russian Foreign Ministry shared on its website.
Minister Lavrov stressed "there are special forces on the ground in Syria from the US - they no longer deny it - the UK, France and a number of other countries."
He then continued "thus, it's not so much of a 'proxy war,' but rather a direct involvement in the war."
