Pakistan fires another 83 mortars into Kunar


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Local security officials on Thursday said Pakistani forces once again fired at least 83 mortars into different areas of eastern Kunar province.

Police spokesman, Farid Dehqan, told Pajhwok Afghan News the mortars fired from across the Durand Line landed in Dangam, Sarkano and Khas Kunar border districts on Wednesday night.

He said 60 rockets landed in Shinki, Sur Barol and Sur Kamar areas of Dangam district, 14 in Shunkari area of Sarkano district and nine in Shali area of Khas Kunar district.

People did not suffer casualties in the strikes but they did suffer financial losses, Dehqan added.

Two days back, Pakistani forces fired 63 rockets into Dangam district, inuiring one person.

Pakistani forces interruptedly fire missiles into eastern parts of Afghanistan over the past several years, but the Afghan government is yet to take the matter serious.
