5 HN members arrested in Maidan Wardak raid
(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): Five Haqqani Network (HN) members, including two notorious commanders, have been arrested during a raid in central Maidan Wardak province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Sunday.
The arrest had been made during an overnight raid in the Tangi Wardak locality of Saydabad district by Special Police Force Unit, a statement from the MoI said.
He said two detained Commanders are Obaidhullah and Abdul Haq, according to the statement while a mine making expert Qari Ibrar was killed during the clash.
The two notorious HN commanders were involved in most of the terrorist incidents in Maidan Wardak.
Security forces and civilians suffered no harm during the raid.
