Bollywood actor Sridevi passed away Saturday night in Duabi. She was 54.
Boney Kapoor, her husband and daughter Khushi were with the legendary actor at the time of her death, it was reported. The family was in Dubai to attend a family wedding ceremony.
Born in southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Sridevi had started her career as a child artiste and eventually established herself as the first ever female superstar in Indian film industry. Other than Hindi, Sridevi had acted in many regional language films also. In 2013, Indian Government had conferred upon her 'Padma Sri', the fourth highest civilian honour.
