US embassy in Jerusalem to open in May

(MENAFN) Top Israeli minister confirmed the movement of the U.S. embassy by May 14, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, for the celebration of Israel's70th Independence Day.

The resolution had people shocked as the new U.S. embassy in Jerusalem will be opening earlier than anticipated.

Mike Pence, The U.S. Vice President, declared previously in a speech in the Knesset that the embassy's movement would be in the late 2019 in his last visit to Israel.

The embassy will reportedly process its work at the beginning away from the U.S.'s current consular premises Arnona, south Jerusalem.
