(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Security forces have destroyed three drugs factories and arrested three Taliban during a raid in the Kyhogyani district of eastern Nangarhar, an official said on Monday.
District Chief Shams-ul-Haq told Pajhwok Afghan News the overnight raid was conducted by counternarcotics police personnel on the outskirts of Nawkarkhel locality and was concluded on Tuesday morning.
Three drugs producing factories had been destroyed during the raid. Security forces and civilians suffered no harm in the operation, he added.
Haq said, security forces landed in the area via helicopters and arrested three Taliban during the raid.
Israr, the resident of the area, confirmed the operation and added people in the area could not sleep till the morning because of security forces operation in the area.
The Taliban have not spoken about the incident.
