(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs on Monday received a delegation from the Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group in the European Union (EU) Parliament.
The delegation is being led by Ramona Manescu, head of the EU Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group. The meeting reviewed means of enhancing the existing relations and supporting economic cooperation.
Emphasising the importance of this visit, H E Alawi said that it will enhance the relations between the sultanate and the European countries. He also underlined the role played by the EU-Oman Parliamentary Friendship Group in strengthening ties.
Ramona hailed the sultanate's civilisational renaissance achieved in various fields. She expressed hope that the visit will achieve its desired goals in enhancing cooperation between Oman and the EU.
The meeting was attended by H E Dr Badriya bint Ibrahim al Shihiyah, member of State Council and H E Najeem bin Sulaiman al Abri, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium and to the EU.
