UAE- Senegalese referee to officiate Al Jazira match on opening day of FIFA Club World Cup

ABU DHABI, 6th December, 2017 (WAM) -- The Senegalese referee, Malang Diedhiou, will officiate tonight's opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup between the Emirati team, the Al Jazira Club, and Auckland City FC from New Zealand at the Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain City.

The international referee will be assisted by Samara Djibril from Cameroon and Samba Elhaji from Senegal.

The Sheikh Zayed Sports City Court in Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain will be the venues of the matches of the championship, which will be hosted by the UAE between 6th and 16th December, 2017. The necessary preparations have been taken to impress the world with the unique organisation of this international event, reflecting the UAE's position as a prominent sporting destination for major international sports competitions.
