Pakistan- New era of development will commence in FATA after merger with KP: governor


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 28 November: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said a new era of development will begin in FATA after its merger with KP.

He was talking to a delegation of tribal journalists at Governor House Peshawar on Monday. The governor said FATA will get about Rs90 billion funds every year after reforms which will be spent on development projects. He said the government has taken a number of steps for speedy development and prosperity of the FATA people.

Mr Jhagra said journalism is a highly respectable profession and the government expects the media persons to help it resolution of problems. He said journalists are playing important role in the society by pinpointing problems of people. He said the role of journalists in development of society cannot be overlooked.
