Wisconsin signs final contract with Foxconn


(MENAFN) Scott Walker, the Governor of Wisconsin State has signed a contract with Foxconn Technology Group Chairman for the huge display screen plant worth 10b USD.

Based on the contract, if Foxconn invests 10b USD in establishing a new display screen factory and campus near Racine, the Wisconsin government has to provide an enticement package of 3b USD.

The manufacturer would also have to employ 13,000 regional workers as it pledged, to get the full benefit.

The investment plan as Walker referred to it "the largest economic development project in the history of Wisconsin," includes a virtual village with accommodation, shops and service business expanding over more than 4 square kilometers.
