(MENAFN) According to the transport minister, the authorities in Japan are making safety checks at a Kobe Steel Ltd aluminum plant that provided materials for aircrafts.
Although no safety issues were recognized, Kobe Steel is under US Department of Justice inquiry.
Transport Minister said: "As a country of design and manufacturing, we have an unmistakable commitment to safety; we want to be absolutely sure of product safety as the MRJ heads towards mass production."
After the fabrication was made public, Kobe Steel started losing customers to rivals, and is still losing them.
