(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman rally champion Khalid Soomar confirmed the sponsorship he has received from Target LLC this season to continue the good relationship between both side, which was started 2 years back when target first sponsored Khalid Soomar in Oman and UAU rally championship.
Rally driver Khalid Soomar who is leading currently the UAE rally championship with 51 point on Mitsubishi Evo 7 , confirmed his participation in next round in UAE rally in Al Dhaid this month with hope to continue leading the championship with his co-driver Issa Alwardi.
After confirming the support and sponsorship, Yousef shammas the General Manager and member board of Target LLC mentioned that this is not the first season they support the Rally Champion Khalid Soomar as there was good relation between the two parties for last 2 years, hence they continued supporting him for next season in Oman and UAE participations.
He Said' We are glad in Target to continue supporting Khalid this year also as part of our CSR responsibility within the sultanate , he is a good driver and looking forward always to win , so all companies should support local talents not just in sport but in different fields.
Tariq Shammas DGM in Target added that we supported previously many initiatives as part of social programs and we do the same now, and in case of Khalid Soomar, we are with him since 2 years sponsoring his participations in rally world and we were supporting his brother Khalil before that for 2 seasons.

Soomar added, 'As you currently know I am leading the championship in UAE and to continue this lead with good result you need a lot of money to prepare the car to be best fit for the competition. Therefore Target always back up for me in this championship, but still the cost is too high to cover and we look forward for more support from different companies'
