Presentation begins negotiating with FIFA to broadcast the matches of Egypt World Cup on local channels

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) The sports marketing company Presentation has started negotiations with the International Football Federation Association (FIFA) to broadcast the Egyptian national football team's matches in the 2018 World Cup in Russia on local channels.

'We will be negotiating with FIFA to discuss the rights of the ground broadcast to the World Cup,' said Amr Wahby, volunteer coordinator at Presentation Media Sports.

Wahby added that all the points of the regulations for broadcasting the matches with FIFA will be reviewed, noting that there has been a series of amendments during the last period.

He explained that in the case of broadcasting matches on terrestrial channels, there will be provided a large number of programmes and templates of different media on the Egyptian television channels, which serves the advertising campaigns for the World Cup matches.

Wahby noted that no sports excerpts or photographs from the World Cup could be broadcast on satellite channels, maintaining the broadcasting rights of companies with sports broadcasting rights.

Wahby hinted that the company had offered to host a friendly match for the Serbian national team in November and offered $1m and to wait for the reply from the player as part of the programme before the World Cup.

He stressed that most of the Serbian players are professional in a large group of players in the famous European clubs, and that this match will play an important role in the technical performance of the players during the current period.

He added that Egypt's participation in the World Cup will have a different impact on the sports sector in particular in terms of raising advertising spending in the coming years, and the state in general.

He explained that the company is preparing a number of friendly matches for the team during the coming period to increase the marketing campaigns for sponsors.

The Egyptian team qualified to the 2018 World Cup in Russia after beating Congo 2-1 in the Borg Al Arab match on 10 October. The team reached 12 points, leading the group four points ahead of the Ugandan national team with 8 points, followed by the Ghana team with 6 points, and the Congo team with one point.
