Oman Fire, Safety and Security expo begins


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Fire, Safety and Security (OFSEC) exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Rasheed al Safi Khamis al Huraibi, chairman, Tender Board, on Monday.

The exhibition is being held from October 9 to 11 at the Oman convention and Exhibition Centre.

Ahmed Saleh Baabood, executive chairman, Muscat Expo, explained, 'OFSEC has brought together over 75 international and local exhibitors who showcase their avant-garde solutions, latest technologies, cutting-edge innovations, cost-effective products and services. They meet the requirements of governments, businesses, industrial and commercial entities, aviation, construction, infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing, oil and gas and utilities sectors.'

He added, 'OFSEC is designed to meet the needs of the local, regional and international markets by linking practitioners, suppliers, distributors and manufacturers from the fire, safety and security industry, with key decision-makers from the government and private sectors. It is a definitive networking platform, where new projects and partnerships are initiated and visionary objectives are implemented. This event also aims to create synergy and strengthen the collaboration between the authorities and the industries.'

Melwin D'Cunha, CEO, Muscat Expo, said, the exhibition will highlight commercial security, crisis and risk management as well. 'It will also include critical infrastructure, emergency and rescue, fire and protection, hazard and disaster management, information security, safety and health, smart home/office/city, training and consultation, transport safety and security, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).'

OFSEC is being organised in co-operation with Muscat Municipality.
