(MENAFN) Consultancy companies will be asked for bids for a major Independent Water Project (IWP) for Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP), to be developed at Wadi Dayqah near Oman's capital Muscat, according to a report.
As financial and commercial advisory services will be the conditions of the bids, the last date to submit the bids for the projects is October 30, according to Times of Oman.
As consultant firms compete for advisory, the winner will be able to advice OPWP in evaluating proposals from bidders participating in a tender for building a water treatment plant.
Making it the second water project in Qurayyat, the proposed IWP is in fact the first major project in Qurayyat, with a capacity of 44 million imperial gallons per day.
While the tender for selecting the developer is yet to be floated, the project is being developed by a number of associations including Singapore's Hyflux and Modern Channels Services.
