Oman- Travel agency Akash Jatra inaugurated in Hamriya


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Travel and tourism company Akash Jatra's office was inaugurated in Hamriya recently.

The company with a Bengali signboard will also be providing in-bound tourism and car rental facilities.

Emdad Bachchu, managing director, Akash Jatra said, 'We are the only company in Oman with a Bengali name. This is a major landmark as most people in Hamriya are from Bangladesh. Right now our customers are from Bangladesh, India and the Philippines.'
Akash Jatra will serve as a ticketing office for the Regent Airways. Regent Airways operates seven flights per week to Dhaka from Muscat. Officials said the frequency will be increased to 14.

Lt Gen M F Akbar (retired), advisor to Habib Group and CEO of Regent Airways said, 'We are pleased to be part of the launch of this new travel agency. It is great to see the contribution of young Bangladeshis in Oman.'

Anisul Alam Chowdhury, head of Marketing of Regent Airways said, 'Right now, Akash Jatra has six employees and we have extensive plans to have branches all over the country and the GCC. We've already had our campaign in Qatar and we'll soon open our offices there.'
