Kuwait refuses Syrians with Sudanese passports

(MENAFN) Kuwait will not change the citizenship status in its records of Syrians who present newly-acquired Sudanese passports and request the change of their nationality.

Moreover, the decision was taken by Kuwait after Sudanese authorities informed security agencies that many Syrians acquired Sudanese passports by suspiciously circumventing the law.

In addition, Kuwait"s interior ministry took note of the decision and ordered its agencies not to amend the status of any Syrian expatriate who shows a Sudanese passport.

Meanwhile, thousands of Syrians, influenced by the war and eager to get passports from other nations that would ease suspicions, have been applying for foreign citizenships.
