Jordan- Huge blasts rocks Damascus airport, thought to be Israeli strikes


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, April 27 (Petra) --Several large explosions early Thursday have reportedly hit the vicinity of Damascus airport.

According to Sputniknews, Israeli war planes launched five raids against a military squadron positioned at the airport.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based war monitor also reported that a huge explosion has been heard early Thursday at the airport, which lies about 25 km (15 miles) south-east of Syria's capital.

The blast was reportedly followed by a large fire, with no casualties reported, it added.

The footage of the explosion emerged on social media, with reports suggesting that the incident was caused by Israel's Air Forces that targeted Syrian military position at the airport .
