Pakistan detains more than 100 Indian fishermen over violations

(MENAFN) A maritime official revealed that Pakistan has put over 100 Indian fishermen in jail for assumed violation of its territorial waters in the Arabian Sea.

A spokesman of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency said that the police have further impounded 19 boats belonging to detained men.

The spokesman also revealed "The detained fishermen have been handed over to police for further investigations".

On the other hand, he marked the maritime border in the Arabian Sea is not very clear and often results in the arrest of fishermen as almost all boats do not have sophisticated navigational technology to outline its exact location.
