Oman Tourism Investment Conference commences

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Tourism Investment Conference started on Tuesday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the auspices of H E Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism.

The conference reviews Oman Tourism Strategy, as well as the foreign investment projects, the available investment opportunities in the sultanate and the incentive provided by the sultanate to investors. Around 100 investors and 24 local and international speakers are taking part in the two-day conference.

The conference serves as a platform for launching investment in tourism, and came after completing Oman Tourism Strategy which identified the sultanate's vision for the tourism sector, said H E Mehrzi. The ministry has initiated the tourism layout for the Governorate of Dhofar and will float a tender for layouts for Dakhliyah, Musandam and South Sharqiyah governorates, and Jebel Shams in Masirah, he added.
