Saudi- KAIA Customs thwart smuggling heroin, Shabu

Riyadh, Rabi'II 25, 1438, Jan 23, 2017, SPA -- Customs officers of Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) have foiled a smuggling attempt of an amount of 390 grams of heroin and another amount of 161,4 grams of Shabu hidden by a passenger coming on a flight to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Director General of KAIA' Customs Bandar Al-Rehaily said that during regular inspection of passengers coming on a flight to the Kingdom and acting on suspicion of a passenger, the customs officers subjected him to self-inspection where they have found the heroin hidden secretly inside his bag while the Shabu was hidden into his shoes, noting that the seizures were referred to the competent authorities to complete legal procedures.
